Just received a call from a potential client stating that she cannot move into a fancy rental apartment because the management of the building would like to confirm her ability to pay. She is able to pay the rental fees, BUT she cannot prove it. Why? Because she and her husband have been filing low income tax returns that only prove their low-income status. So she asked me to prepare a tax return showing her real high income, but she also asked to not send this return to IRS because she definitely doesn’t want to pay taxes on this income. All she wants is to show this return to the management of the building. Guys this is fraud! And it is called a financial crime which is illegal here! If you live in this country and using its resources, you have to pay for it. For your information, 80% of all federal revenue comes from income taxes. And this money is used for the benefit of American people, the taxpayers.
